tiles which have been set into a wood floor. Having a floor that is a
lighter color than the walls will make a room look larger. Wood or stone
floors are the perfect choices for your log cabin, especially if you have
plenty of windows that allow natural light to enter the space.
Walls and Materials Used
The color used on the walls of a log cabin interior can have a big impact on
the overall look of the room. You can use sealers, stains and paints on the
walls of rustic log homes, especially in places such as the bathroom and
kitchens. You can create dramatic contrasting looks by blending materials
such as stucco, stone, copper, steel, and glass with the logs. Often the
materials used depend on the location of the home, for instance stucco is
more likely to be used in the southwestern part of the United States.
There are many different ways to really make a log home interior shine. Some
log home owners go with a very modern interior, while others stick with the
more traditional country or rustic look. How much you enjoy spending time in
